Testimonials
Improved lives and livelihoods is what keeps us work even harder to ensure that we impact lives. Here are a few of testimonials from our beneficiaries.

Grace became pregnant at an early age and felt isolated and hopeless. After joining WPR’s SMEP program, she received training, joined a savings group (VSLA), and began to rebuild her life. With her first pig from the program, she grew a small livestock business, sold compost, and even started farming vegetables. Today, Grace is a successful entrepreneur. She owns a barbershop with a contract to serve local schools, employs three staff, and farms her land year-round. Her earnings allow her to pay school fees, provide nutritious food for her family, and create jobs in her community.
“I am deeply grateful to WPR. When I first joined the VSLA group I had no hope: I felt cursed, alone and ashamed. I had no dreams for the future and felt I was waiting only for life to end. Through the Training support about saving and comforting words of the group my confidence, hope and dreams returned. I can now pay my child’s school fees, buy clothes for myself and my baby, eat nutritious food from my own vegetables, and create employment for others in my community” — Grace

Esther, a young single mother, once struggled with abandonment and no savings. Through WPR’s SMEP, she learned to save and was given a pig. That one pig helped her to start her now thriving business, producing multiple litters of piglets, which she sold to invest in poultry farming. Esther now owns 80 chickens and 7 pigs, and she is preparing to sell more piglets to expand her farm. Esther has become a successful entrepreneur in her community and she is excited for the future of her business.
“I sincerely thank the WPR organization. You lifted me from a place of despair to where I am today .., and as you can see with your own eyes, the impact is visible. I am committed to continuing on the development journey you set me on. I am committed to continuing on the path you have shown me. With your support, training, and encouragement, I have discovered my potential as a woman, and I am determined to go as far as possible on this journey” — Esther
